The most read blog of the year was in-depth coverage of new features and changes included in the release of App-V 5.1. During a webinar in February, Steve Thomas was the featured speaker and we had over eighty questions submitted during the hour long event. He was not able to get to them all, but was kind enough to answer them after the webinar. This post covers the top 50 or so App-V questions and answers.
Customers started accelerating their Windows 10 migration due to hardware refreshes. Newer PCs that won’t support Windows 7 and 8.1 as a result of a Microsoft announcement. Even though Windows 7/8.1 are supported through at least 2020, they’re really only supported through 2020 if running on Intel hardware older than ‘Skylake’. Any newly purchased hardware will have to run Windows 10.
