The Public Beta of the Secunia Corporate Software Inspector (CSI) 4.0 has ended. The final version of the Secunia CSI 4.0 is now available to our customers.
A huge thanks goes out to the 2,557 people who participated in the Secunia CSI 4.0 Beta testing.
The Beta has been a great success and we are very happy that so many have expressed interest in our new Secunia CSI - integrated with Microsoft WSUS & SCCM for 3rd party patch management.
Highlighted Beta Feedback
The beta testers have been particularly pleased to see how easy it has been to complete a full patch cycle, something which has always been very time consuming, labour intensive, and troublesome.
With the Secunia CSI 4.0 the beta testers have been able to complete full patch cycles with just a few clicks; 1) Conduct a full scan of all hosts. 2) Review missing security patches. 3) Automatically create, approve, and deploy the security patches. 4) Re-scan hosts to verify that the patch process completed successfully.
"Today I checked my clients, the WSUS and CSI.... Great!! No problems everything is running perfect, all informations are visible, patches are proposed, vulnerabilities are detected. So I made patches, deployed them... perfect!" -- Beta tester 'al_bundy99' from Austria
The feedback that we have received during the beta has been very valuable and we have already aligned several features and functions according to the great input.
The beta has been very positive and we are happy that so many who work with IT security and patching as their daily line of work in banks, government, education, and large as well as small businesses, have expressed excitement over the direct integration to Microsoft WSUS, as well as the ease of which the Secunia CSI is able to create and deploy third party patches to Windows based computers.
Integration with Microsoft WSUS and Microsoft SCCM
During the beta, the most frequently asked question has without a doubt been; "The integration with Microsoft WSUS is amazing - but how about SCCM?"
We are very happy to say that, as of now with the final release of the Secunia CSI 4.0, we also integrate with Microsoft SCCM. Meaning that you can use the unique scanning technology from the Secunia CSI, review and work with the scan results, automatically create the required packages from the suggested security updates, and deploy it using your favourite patch management platform, regardless of it being Microsoft SCCM or Microsoft WSUS.
Customers of Secunia CSI 3.0 can easily upgrade their installations by downloading and installing the Secunia CSI 4.0:
